Healing-the-Farm Volunteer Event | Day 2

  • Kilt Farm 8140 Oxford Road Niwot, CO, 80503 United States (map)

Howdy again!

As you may have heard, a number of farms in Boulder County were hit very hard by a hail storm in mid-June and they are working to recover their losses.

Kilt Farm's mission is to feed the local community the best food possible. Farmer Michael Moss is true to his word as last year Michael allowed UpRoot to hold two gleans on his farmland where we harvested more than 5,000 pounds of nutrient-dense produce and distributed this wonderful food into our local hunger-relief system.

We are aiming for two weekday volunteer events: Friday, August 10th and Wednesday, August 15th at Kilt Farm in #Niwot. Volunteers are needed to plant and weed with help from professional farmers. Rewards will be provided (and there will be a round of craft-brewed beer and hors d'oeuvres served on Friday eve from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Avery Brewing Company courtesy of UpRoot)!
