Today’s note is to share a call for volunteer corps help at Peach Valley CSA.
Peach Valley CSA changed its focus from a "Market Farm” to a "Community Farm" in the early 1990s and has been in continual operation since. As the first such farm on the Western Slope, (second CSA in Colorado), Peach Valley has seen many variations in this farming model. Peach Valley continues to operate its CSA in the traditional way, whereby the farm takes on a limited number of shares for each season, and closes sales when shares are full. Peach Valley’s annual farm effort, in conjunction with several other local, sustainable and organic farms, produces food to supply approximately 100 member-families with shares of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs for nearly forty weeks of the year.
