UpRoot is fully insured and will respectfully facilitate the gleaning of surplus crops, safe transport to hunger-relief agencies, and ensure you receive a receipt for tax purposes.
UpRoot Colorado will arrive at your farm with our trained volunteer gleaning corps ready to harvest your surplus crops. We have liability insurance that covers you, your farm, our volunteers and our organization.
We arrange for transport of the gleaned produce and ensure its delivery to a local nonprofit—a hunger-relief agency like a food pantry or food bank—where the harvest is weighed. You will be issued a receipt for potential use on your federal tax form(s).
