Donate your surplus. Receive a tax credit.
UpRoot Colorado will arrive at your farm with our trained volunteer gleaning corps ready to harvest your surplus crops. We have liability insurance that covers you, your farm, our volunteers and our organization.
We arrange for transport of the gleaned produce and ensure its delivery to a local nonprofit—a hunger-relief agency like a food pantry or food bank—where the harvest is weighed. You will be issued a tax-credit certificate that lets you take advantage of the Colorado Charitable Crop Donation Act (CCCDA).
Members of our community experiencing food insecurity benefit by enjoying access to fresh, nutrient-dense and locally grown produce.
